Not really a planner but I used to get these large book like calendars with room to write in each day. That was when I was doing respite work at different places so needed to keep my schedule. Later when I modeled at art classes around town I needed the same way to track my schedule.

Monthly, no ~ weekly, yes. It's a pocket planner that I use almost everyday. The one I use at work (it's main function is to record daily lists of people away from the office, along with appointments and other misc. notes), includes a monthly lay-out of each month but I only record birthdays in them.

I have a monthly calendar on my wall that i use only for doctor appointments. I dont know why i dont schedule anything else on it.
