What is/would be your monthly cap on what you spend on your child's sport?

How much per month would you spend on your child's sport?

A lot of kids' sports get very costly. Those that require travel are the worst. I think of team sports, hockey must be right up there as the most costly due to tournaments and hotel rooms.

From what I know, go cart racing is probably the most costly.

This is where I become the chamber's radical, I don't believe in sports. Not school sports anyway, lawn sports just for fun and exercise, that's fine but I am in no favor of this school team-more-important-than-learning-harrass-the-public-with-100-bake-sales-and-car-washes-for-new-uniforms-and-equipment stuff.

I don't see much good that comes out of it, aside from all the related injuries the kids get, then there's the other side of it where the athletes can get away with murder because they're a top player. I don't know about where everyone else is but here it was only decided a couple years ago that MAYBE if the athletes are failing more than 4 classes in one semester they shouldn't be allowed to play. What the hell? If it was any other student failing 4 classes they'd be like that, bitch-slapped shake sense n2u Bullshit

But because you can throw a ball, you don't have to know your head from a hole in the ground, somebody else can just do the work for you or you can just get passed anyway. And then what happens when they rip their knee and have outlived their usefulness? Nobody thinks about that when they decide athletes are the gods of the school.

Well I plan to homeschool my kids if I ever have them so I don't think that'll be much of a problem. As a kid I loved to play sports but I didn't get the point of being on a team at school. They say it teaches the kids this and that and the other, I had a neighbor who was on every team, he didn't learn anything and he played like an idiot but he was never kicked off because exceptions were always made for him.

My daughter did cheerleading. I don't remember the dollar amount but it was something we could afford. Not like some of the other teams where it was a shit load of cash.

Depends on what it is, how dedicated he/she was to it and how good they were at it. I will spend what I can afford but I won't be breaking the bank to do so.
