If you were to get a traffic ticket that you felt was unwarranted, would you just pay it or fight it in court?
Have you ever fought ticket in court? If so, what was the outcome?

I'll try and talk my out of it when I'm getting the ticket, but if it's written, then i'll pay the fine.

I've never tried to fight it in court.

Depends. In this city for the most part....you might as well just pay it. The only way your going to win is if the cop doesn't show up or you have concrete proof you were in the right. I've beaten like two tix before.

I've never tried to fight one but if I knew I was not guilty I might try if I thought I could prove it. Place I used to work at gave the employees passes so we could park in the municipal lot. They were small pastic packards that hooked on the rearview mirror from the front. To avoid getting a ticket for an obstructed view (it only hung down maybe 2" below the mirror) I put a little velcro on so I could turn it to stick on the back of the mirror. Now, to be fair, you couldn't see it from the back of the car (that was the point) but I always backed into the parking space. Some mother fucker gave me a ticket for no parking pass. I took the ticket to the cop station to try to reason with him but he was an ass hole. At least I was smart enough not to tell him the reason he didn't see the tag was because we wasn't tall enough to see over the dashboard of my Toyota. I just paid it because I knew the judge would believe him.

I went to court on a ticket once. It was the first ticket I ever got. My dad accompanied me to court, the officer didn't show, so it was thrown out. On the for real, most of my tickets have been warranted. I would just pay it, and not try to be cute.

I never fought a ticket. I just go ahead and pay them and move on.
