My brother and I spent every weekend sleeping on the floor as kids, in our sleeping bags. That was the big thrill for us as kids, stay in the living room and watch TV late, then be up early enough to catch all the cartoons on Saturday.
Sometimes now when I can't get comfortable in bed I put my pillows on the floor and sleep down there, but it's not something I do often.

Nah....I don't like sleeping on hard surfaces.

A night or two is tolerable but beyond that I need a mattress or some kind of padding.
