Book Smart vs Street Smart....

The stereotype of a "street smart" person is someone who is intelligent and knows how to handle impromptu life situations....but is not as well-educated academically, and aren't necessarily proper in the way that they carry themselves.

The stereotype of a "book smart" person is someone who is at least middle-class, mannered, and well educated....but less savvy when it comes to handling quick or random situations, and for all their education, is a bit naive.

Of course the 2 aren't mutually exclusive, but lets pretend for a second they are.

....if you had to lean in one direction over the other, which would you choose?

I would absolutely loathe being naive. Not in my personality whatsoever. So, give me street smarts all day. In reality though, I do have both.

If I had to pick one over the other, I would rather be street savvy. I have known too many book smart people who can't react to social situations a all.

I would take street smarts and common sense.

Street smart.

People with street smarts over book smarts seem more wise to me. That cant really be taught, but its something that you dont ever lose (unlike book smarts).
