Is anybody else seeing this? The stores here already started selling Halloween candy a couple of weeks ago, in AUGUST, what the hell? So it's back to school supplies and Halloween candy and now the decorations and costumes also, all at the same time. Who the hell is already thinking about Halloween just as we come off summer vacation?

Apparently a lot of people or they wouldn't be selling it. It gets earlier every year and the demand is there for it.

Which is crazy because most of it is the stuff you get year round: Tootsie pops, Tootsie rolls, bite sized candy bars, gum balls, etc., only a few things are specifically MADE for Halloween like the gummy body parts and Mummy money and peanut butter cup jack o lanterns.

Doesn't surprise me. Halloween is the second most commercialized holiday of the year. The odd thing is that when the day finally comes, it's all fairly underwhelming.

I'm not that shocked, some stores in my area started selling Halloween decorations in August.
