I went to Dollar General over the weekend and they're already selling Halloween candy! Halloween candy at the beginning of August, what the hell? All the candy corn and pumpkin gumballs and orange and black candied cookies and the Tootsie roll 5 pound bags, unbelievable.

Probably last years left overs. It is pretty early, but the stores are getting earlier and earlier for all holidays. Here in Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, and yes that is when the Xmas advertizing starts.

I knew somebody would say it. None, I don't believe in buying any until late September.

I like to buy Xmas stuff after Xmas, a couple of years ago there was a great sale on Halloween candy. So I bought this big bag stored it away and then forgot about it . Thanks for reminding me I fished it out today and will not have to buy any this year. Its a sealed heavy plastic bag, and the bag contains Dots and Tootsie rolls. I'll give out the Dots first, so that all that will be left over will be Tootsie rolls which I like just fine. big grin

I used to be thoroughly annoyed by stores rushing the seasons. However, it is nice that summer goodies such as swim trunk and pool toys get clearanced out earlier every year. This equates to some good savings. But, Lord help the person looking for a nice swim suit in August!
