Apparently Brandon Buddy will only briefly reprise Cole Thornhart. He couldn't stay for the duration, and therefore Cole has been recast with with Broadway actor Van Hughes.

So why bring back Cole if it's just a recast?

It's my understanding that with production wrapping in just a few weeks, they didn't have time to rewrite the story and had to 'a' Cole there; even if it wasn't Brandon Buddy. This is fine with me, because I never liked him. The recast can't do any worse.

I imagine that the recast can only be an improvement.
