Should Kim be recast?

If Amanda Setton can't be lured back to the show, do you think they should recast the character of Kim since she left on kind of a hanging note?

I'd like to see Kim back but would hope for AS to return. I heard she left because she wanted to head west for pilot season. Not to wish her failure, but maybe if she doesn't land anything she'd be open to returning.

Frankly I'm hesitant on a recast, because Kim was a character that could have very easily been a flaky and tedious annoyance (ala Stacy and those 2 stripper pals of theirs). I think the ONLY thing that made Kim work was AS's charm. I'm not confident it would be easy for TPTB to find another actress with the same charisma.

I say yes. I don't like how that was left hanging. AS did a good job introducing Kim and making her smarter and savvier than one might initially expect. When she told TPTB she was leaving, they should have recast and altered the character so that she continued to evolve into an even more bitchy, shrewd and divalicious rogue. It would have been fine with me if they slightly readjusted the role so that the next actress could just play a sophisticated conniver, as opposed to a conniving stripper barbie who managed to claw her way into the elite.
