I'm not into Shakespeare or plays, but I am interested in the story of Othello. Anybody read it?

Ah no, I have a copy of it though but like most of Shakespeare's works that I have, I ain't gotten around to reading them yet. I only got through Macbeth so far.

Yup and honestly I found it kind of boring. Read it yourself and see if you can get into it, but the plot is more interesting than the details.

Of all of Shakespeare's plays it is by far the best, IMO. Rome and Juliet was way too cheesy and corny. I hate all of his historical plays. Othello was very soap and I loved Iago! MacBeth is another good Shakespeare play.

How about A Mid Summer Night's Dream? I haven't gotten around to that one yet but I did enjoy the movie with James Cagney.

Now what I've always found odd is that when I was in school, we read ABOUT Shakespeare, but never read any of his plays, when we bought the school books for the year, those were never a part of the curriculum.
