It has & if I don't know them I don't answer the door much less let them in. Sometimes they have caught me outside. Same rules still apply.

That's happened before, and yes.....I let them use the phone. Their story would have to be a good one....whether its true or not. If someone needs to, they can use the phone. All that skepticism about it is silly.

If their story is a good one I might let them use the phone, but unless they're hurt or I can see they are distraught they're probably not coming in. They can make their call from the porch.

It has happened and I let them use it outside the door and I make sure they are not dialing long distance.

It does happen in terms of I don't know the people but they're usually someone who knows my father, so of course I let them use the phone.

Hasn't happened to me, because if I'm not expecting someone, or don't recognize the person (I often peek through the bedroom window) then I just don't answer.
Would I? Nope!. He/She can wait outside while I make the call ~ and I'd be watching that person like a hawk.
