I made out like a fat rat: 20 full sized Butterfinger bars! Also, Ray Bradbury's A Pleasure to Burn, Dragonology, a Practical Guide to Dragons, the Lost Keaton: Buster Keaton's 1935-37 sound shorts, Boris Karloff's Tales of the Unexplained, Hey Vern! It's Ernest on DVD, a book of optical illusions, a Marvel tie-dye T-shirt, and an M&M dispenser. How about everyone else's treasure troves?

Re: What did you get for Christmas?
I did really well, too.
Books:
"Not Just the Levee's Broke" (Phyllis Montana's post-hurricane autobiography).
"Where Hope Begins" (about that sick Marcus Wesson who is gratefully in prison)
"Storyville, New Orleans" (about the red light district of early New Orleans)
Mini-perfume bottle of Fendi perfume
Gift certificate to my favorite music store
Money to go shopping on
Gorgeous "saturn" earrings made from titanium (blues and magenta hues)
All the above are from my husband.
Gift certificates to two restaurants (neighbor and a friend)
A paperback, "The Neon Rain" (co-worker)

Re: What did you get for Christmas?
While I do not do the gift exchanging, I did get a Xmas gift today.
While biking back from the Cinema (Which was unusually crowded with this new tradition of movies on Xmas) I found a pair of sunglasses on the road. Not exactly my style (I like Aviator style) but they are blue.

Re: What did you get for Christmas?
I did very well, I got 2 books,
(its gonna sound crazy but I really wanted a silicon whisk,
A slap chop ( I wanted that too)
a fleecy throw,
a desk calendar that I really didn't want and haven't got the guts to tell a friend that.
and 50 bucks, book store here I come!
My husband suggested that we give ourselves new drapes for Xmas, and so we did. The thing is at our ages and the fact that we take care of things means we have everything we want. Then too now when something dies like my food processor did this year we just go out and buy a new one. When we were young we had lots of wants but now with the kids grown and gone we can afford anything we want (within reason).

Re: What did you get for Christmas?
Well, I took the "shopping money" that my husband gave me (actually, intended for new boots because he knew I wanted some), and braved Mall Hell this afternoon. Good Lord, it was worse than Black Friday!
But I bought TWO pairs of good boots ~ one is very warm with good traction (Lands End brand), and the other is a semi-dressy leather pair from Aerosoles. Both on good sales, so I made out like a bandit. And I was in that mall for only about 1-1/2 hours. I went there with a mission and didn't futz around with anything else.
