    If your close friend decided to get a sex change and you were not aware of it until after the fact, would you be hurt that he/she did not share the decision with you? Would you feel alienated that you were not able to provide moral support?

    I might have a hard time relating to them after if it was sudden and I didn't see it coming.

    It wouldn't bother me that they had the surgery. It would definitely bother me that they didn't feel they could share the decision to have it with me though.

    It wouldn't bother me. If they were a really close friend, I would know because that is a process.
