    Smoke detectors Smoke-ch

Do you have smoke detectors at your place? If so, did you change the batteries today (they say you're supposed to change them every new year.)

Have only one. And we're not that good at changing batteries. Good idea! Thanks for the heads up!

Smoke detector and CO detector. And you should change the batteries twice a year. A good rule of thumb is change them when you change your clocks during the daylight savings changes.

I have one in my apartment and I don't think it has batteries. If it does someone comes in here and changes them because I never have. Been here over six years and the thing works everytime I heat my cast iron skillet too hot and I have to hit the reset button.

It really doesn't matter because I doubt it would wake me up - the high pitch is a barely audible tone for me. (I have to use a windup alarm clock because the little squeak on the electric ones doesn't do it for me)

Mine doesn't have batteries, I don't think. Usually what will happen is when the batteries get weak, those things will begin to squeak. I have been in my apartment for years and it has never done this.
