Talk shows

Are you a fan of any talk shows? If so, which? Any past talk shows you used to be a fan of?

Not a big talk show fan I will watch one only if someone i like is on.

I used to LOVE Ricki Lake back in the day. I heard she might be coming back to daytime tv talk.

Now, I watch Wendy Williams when I can. Others, I only watch when someone I wanna see is on.

Not really. Never had a favorite....although I thought Latifahs show was pretty cool.

When I was a kid my mom and I watched Jenny Jones every weekday.

I watch Dr. Phil because sometimes he has good topics on. I record it daily but only watch it probably twice a week on average.

I like "Dr. Phil" but don't really consider that talk so show so much as a counseling show.

In the past I liked the OLD "Maury Povich" before his format changed to trash. I also liked "Montel Williams".

I liked Oprah but lost interest after a couple of years. I like some of Anderson Coopers shows. I always check before hand to see what the subject is.

I loved the old Dick Cavett Show. He had some great guests. Jon Favreau used to host a show I guess could be considered a "talk show", Dinner For Five that was pretty good.

Yeah. That episode never aired. To this day they say that the 'Jenny Jones Show murder' is what killed the talk TV format. It's very different from what it was in the 80s and early 90s. Used to be real people with hot topics. Now the the few shows still doing sensational topics bring on guests who are encouraged to act so OTT that you can't take them seriously. The rest of the talk shows are celebrity-based or focus on lite topics (like cooking.)

I used to love Montel and thought he had the best talk show on the air. Remember liking Ricki Lake too in the very beginning, but her audience became too much like Def Comedy Jam.

I used to like Geraldo and Jenny Jones when I was a kid. My parents weren't that keen on me watching them, but I did anyways.
