Alicia Silverstone's video of feeding her son

In a newly released video, Silverston is seen chewing up foods for her infant son then placing the chewed food into his mouth.

She defends the technique by saying he gets more foods this way.

To me it is very disgusting and I don't see how the introduction of new bacteria in his mouth via hers from foods that have been depleted of nutrients by already having been chewed is a real benefit.

I used a food processor for things my son couldn't safely eat. I think that is what most sensible parents would do.

Heard about this & will not watch the video of that disgusting kind of crazy. She can afford a damn food processor. I already feel bad for this kid when he gets old enough to see his nastyass mommy regurgitating in his mouth. He's a human child, not a finch.

Very gross, besides who knows what nasty germs the mother is giving the baby. If she wants the baby to try many different foods its easy enough without adding her saliva.

It's a video I care NOT to watch also. Just gross.

Sort of reminds me of this old Saturday Night Live Clip with Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Laraine Newman and Gilda Radner----those of you old enough to remember a restaurant chain called "Beefsteak Charlie's", may remember SNL doing a parody of that with their skit "Pre-Chewed Charlie's" LOL

That is disgusting. I can't imagine doing such a thing with my son. Just cut it up, or like CeCe said, invest in a food processor. Yuck.
