How do you feel about Adam?

I'm really not liking Adam and how he's tormenting Patty, though I suppose that's what villains are supposed to do. Maybe it's 'cause I"m new to the show, but I'm not finding Adam to be a very sympathetic character at all. Some villains you love to hate but others? Well - Adam I just plain hate right now.

I was so hoping there was a chance for redeemption for him but now I don't think so anymore. He just can't stop doing bad things.

Yeah - redemption would be nice. I like the actor and would like to see him stick around, if they could find a way to redeem him, but I want him to pay for what he's doing to Patty.

Not only Patty, I don't think you were watching then but he gas lighted Ashley and had her thinking she was crazy when she was his only friend in town and she and Sharon were pregnant at the same time but Adam caused Ashley to fall down he stairs and lose her baby and blackmailed a doctor into convincing her she was still pregnant and when they went into labor, he stole Sharon's baby and gave it to Ashley and told Sharon hers had died. Then he courted Sharon and then married her with that lie between them. He is a bad seed just like his father Victor. He has a lot to be forgiven for.

Oh wow - I had NO idea he had quite the history. All that was before my time. They were both in the mental institution when I started watching. What a total creep!

He sure is and he can't understand why Sharon doesn't want him back or everyone in town hates him. He was a good guy when he came to town thought but his father (Victor) kept choosing his siblings over him and pitting them against each other and treating Adam worst than he did Nick and Victoria. See Victor makes differences in his kids and that is why Adam and Abby is so messed up.

Me either at this point. I had hopes after he died and I read somewhere they were going to bring him back and redeem him but they brought him back alright but sure have not tried to redeem him at all. He is just as bad as ever.

It's a shame they've ruined him so much. Seems to happen a lot. Anyone remmeber Carlos Hesser on AW and how they totally redeemed him after they brought him back from the dead? He was one of my fav. characters in the end.

As far as Adam being redeemed. He can never be redeemed in my eyes but look at Phyllis. She tried to run Chris and Paul down, she put a snake in their bed. She supposidly killed a woman and made Danny think he was Daniels father. She isn't redeemed in my eyes although she is one of my favorite characters but she is still a time bomb waiting to go off.
Kevin has been redeemed after he tried to kill Colleen by burning her alive and also giving her a STD when she was 15 years old.. He has done all of Gloria's dirty deeds but he is still a popular guy with many friends an adored by all/
How they try to redeem Adam I will never know but for me he will always be Evil Adam and nothing else.

Adam is just plain psychotic. His innocent-good-nature side (as played by Chris Engen), I believe, was a front from the start. Not towards his mother Hope, of course, but for everyone else. As currently played by Michael Muhney, he just brought it out full-force. I just wish his antics would catch up to him...but look how long it took for all the stuff that Gloria pulled some time ago?

Yeah but in order to be redeemed, Adam is going to have to stop the madness and meaness and he has not. Just look at what he has recently done to Patty.

They could always pull a Carlos Hesser and have him totally loose his memory. Carlos was such an evil man before that and he turned ito a wonderful character. It really is hard to feel anything but disgust for him right now.

Well I can see his petty redemption coming now. Read a spoiler that his mother would be back by Friday and I am sure she will haunt him about his actions because I read he will rethink the way he has been acting. I wish she would haunt Victor about the way he has been treating their son especially thowing that coffin off that tymack.

I admit it, there is no excuse for what he did to Ashley and Sharon and nothing short of admitting it and going to jail for a long time can pay for it.

They already have one strike against him for them kidnapping Adam in that cabin, that is why he was able to get out on bond. They need to leave Adam alone and let the law handle him and stop trying to take the law in their own hands.

Is the Genoa City PD better than LPD? If Genoa City PD is anything ike LPS, I don't blame people for taking the law into their own hands. from what i've seen, GCPD might actually have cops who care about the law, rather than flaunt it and break it the way John and Bordy do. I'm used to the lawlessness of LPD, so the idea of leaving it to the law... well - it doesn't work, because John and Bo and Nora let their friends off and expect everyone else to also let their friends off. What is GCPD like?

No the people here are so pompous they think they know what is best for everyone and exact viglante justice. Victor Newman is the worst for it and he led the pack to get his own son who was half blind.

So the cops are decent, then? It's the citizens who are idiots? There are times I wish OLTL had a little more vigilante justice. John and Cole both need to be put in their places and be on the receiving end of the vigilante justice they dish out whether deserved or not.

Afer watching today's show, seems two of the top cops are dirty and is behind the drugs.

Today's show was ALL about Adam and Victor - lots of flashbacks. I watched on the Canadian station so I think this will be the show most of you will get tomorrow. Kinda hard not to feel for Adam after seeing the show, but he's done so many horrible things that even knowing his past, it still makes it hard. Interesting to devote an ENTIRE eppy just to that storyline and have the whole show focus on Adam and Victor.

Yes, this was beat up on Adam day. Paint him in the possible worst light to make the rest of the Newman's look good. Their arrogance helped him get off scott free.
