    When you were growing up and had company over, did your parents yell/fuss at you in front of them or would they be discreet when it came to reprimanding you in front of your friends?

    "How many times do I have to tell you to take out the garbage/clean your room/walk the dog?" Probably but it wasn't a constant thing. My friend's parents probably did it to them when I was at their house too.

    They held back from creating an ugly scene in front of others but they still complained when something wasn't right.
