Re: Bad names for children
I won't get into specific names but parents who want to "distinguish" their children by giving a fairly common name a "unique" spelling are basically ensuring that the kid is going to spend the rest of their life correcting the misspelling by others.

Re: Bad names for children
I worked at a letter head printing company, and I think it is terrible when people try to match up the first and last names to make something unique. The following names are actually real:
Dr. Olive Pitts
Dr. Jerry DerryBerry (really, did they need to rhyme the name?)
Charlotte Webb, esq
but i think "old people" names are bad... and they are making a comeback-- go figure.

Re: Bad names for children
Our daughter went for a short while with a boy who's last name was Harry, her first name ended in y so we had fun with that , then we got in to the childrens names, we all agreed that their first child should be named Very, or Truly. It was a short lived romance.

Re: Bad names for children
I ran into a chick named Tortillia--with the "L"s pronounced.
I wanted to ask if her parents had any idea they were one letter off from naming her after a Mexican staple. Then again, that may be why they added the "I".
