I once had a black female sup who was grooming her black female friend for a promotion and felt I was a threat to that (hey, I'm good at my job). Turns out she became an admirer of me when it was discovered that I was going with a black co-worker.
Anyhow, I jumped. Moved from direct care to groundskeeping department and got away from the racist hypocrite.

The manager that took over at the bookstore where I was working while I was trying to change careers had it in for me. That was at the tail end of my retail career so the situation ended when I started my new one.

He didn't dislike me, but he was very mean to all of us. A dentist I worked for was a jerk a lot of the time. It was a pediatric clinic and there were times parents of patients would say something to him to cool down. He was pretty awful.
