I don't think Eli makes a very good bad guy.

I do not get any feeling of menace from him.

I don't know, those bad looks and faces sure are convincing me.

I just don't see it, now with Mitch or Mad Mags, I got chills, but with Eli, nada, zip. Maybe it is just me.

I agree that compared to Mad Mags and Mitch, this guy is a puppy. I think he is menacing enough, but he just seems like a total paper tiger. He's threatening a girl into suicide. He kills mentally challenged people and secretly whacks some records guy. The guy just seems like a total coward to anybody who actually stands up against him. If somebody calls his bluff, I don't think he'd have an answer.(Hannah should've said that if Cole ended up dead, John would find out and arrest him.)He's just a cowardly wimp of a bad guy.

MW bored me to pieces until he turned those dark, dangerous looks on. I actually like the master manipulator versus the OOT hammy villains. Then again I preferred Mitch quoting scripture quietly to the hammy crap on Llantano mountain.

I think because it came so far out of left field, and because the writers have not explained his menace motivation at all, that it seems a bit phony.

this just like douglass cummings,all-around good guy who had a dark past that no one knew about.
