Revenge of the scorned woman

What do you think of women who, after they've been cheated on or mistreated by their lover, decide to exact revenge by destroying the guys stuff or taking his credit cards and spending him into the poorhouse? Justified or not?

Absolutely not justified. Wonder how well that works in reverse? Cut your losses. Walk away.

Not only does it send a terrible message, enforcing the 'woman-as-a-golddigger' stereotype, but TV and film are almost never realistic when it comes to the realistic outcome to women exacting this kind of retribution on their no-good men. The scripted media portrays it as a "he got what was coming to him, and now we're Even-Steven" type ish. Please. IRL, destroying his property or going on a spending spree with his credit card is going to result in his either calling the police on her…or him finding her and whopping her tail. If he's mistreating you, leave. If he owes you something, sue. Baseball bats, lighter fluid and Visa stealing is some phony Hollywood mess.

That being said, I do like "Hit 'Em Up Style." As unrealistic as the lyrics are, that used to be my bop.

I've always been a fan of the joke of the man gets the house, right before the woman clears all her stuff out she eats a fish lunch and stuffs shrimp shells into the curtain rods. The husband and the new girlfriend get the house but they can't enjoy it for the rotten fish smell that they can't find the source of.

No can't do that junk in real life but I enjoy it on TV.

In general, it's not. But if your husband turns into a saditty Uncle Tom after becoming successful and rich, leaves you for a white woman after 11 years and two kids and then try to give you peanuts and take all the money and assets after you helped attain it....then in THAT scenario, it's totally justifiable.

The best way to exact revenge and win is through the court system. Take a cheater for as much money as possible. Destroying his stuff doesn't really give satisfaction.
