I count my five years with Jim and my 18 years with Brenda as long-term.
I played married with a girl for half a year. IDK if that counts. Maybe a year should be the baseline of longterm.

How about casual relationships. It occured to me that I have had intermittent hookups with the same person for years.
Mrs Robinson and I were 'seeing' each other periodically from 1968 to 1971.
