    Have you, or anyone you've known, ever experienced a nervous down; one that was severe enough require medical attention? If so, how long did it take for you (or them) to recover from it?

    Yep. My cousin's mother had one (supposedly) but I wasn't around her when she did. She still off a bit sometimes though, so I guess it didn't completely wear off.

    Someone from the town I lived in during high school had one. I didn't really know what it meant at the time. I did feel bad for her because everyone was talking about it.

    IDK if it was a 'nervous breakdown' which is an antiquated term for mental illness. Depression was the more clinical term. Symptoms - 2 suicide attempts. Not a fun time for the person or family.
