Depends, what's your definition of value? They obviously don't value women enough to pay them the same as men, and if a woman has children, well she's down a rung on the ladder for a chance at a job since she'll automatically be late constantly and unreliable, never heard the same said about a father.

Eh, I don't think society values anybody anymore. We've developed such a culture of selfishness attitude that society only places temporary value on what can best get people what they want at the time, and after something has outlived it's usefulness, it is forgotten about. Society has forgotten what valuing people means.
