What is "Reverse Racism"??

Term don't make fucking sense. "Reverse Racism". Really?

I don't like the term either. I think it's dumb. What they call reverse racism is really just racism plain and simple. I think they are just trying to distort that fact with that term.

Exactly. To quote Popeye, 'there ain't no such aminal'. Some people might like to think that certain races have a corner on that market, like people call it reverse rape when a man is raped by a woman, but it's idiotic because if you look up the definition to either of those things, you will see plain as day that it does NOT mention only one kind of person being able to fall victim to it.

No such thing. Racism is Racism, giving it another tag such as "Reverse Racism" IMO is racist in and of itself. Has such a patronizing undertone to it. As if to say "look at those minorities having the gall to be bigots themselves, who do they thing they are?"

Only white people want to pull that reverse racism card.

"Reverse Racism" is a tag that is used by dominant cultural people to claim a victim status that is non-existent. Prejudice and discrimination goes both ways, but racism, like any other "ism," is really about power (who has it and how they use it against those who don't), racism comes from the dominate group against those who are in a weaker position. Which means that these folks cannot be reverse "racist" against the dominate group because they cannot reverse the power to hurt those who hurt them.

The idea that racism needs power sounds more like an excuse for other forms of racism to me. "Reverse racism" is a term used to cloud the fact that those who are "reverse racist" are really as racist as those accurately labeled racist.

Hatred of somebody because of their race is racism, period. Besides, there is PLENTY of power going into the "reverse racism"(which is actually just plain ole racism), so yet again, "reverse racism" is really just racism trying to be downplayed because some people want to live in the fantasy world where only White people can be racist.

It's a term that a racist white person uses when he or she comes across a black person who isn't afraid to be as callous as they are.

It's the act of being racist in reverse, whatever that is supposed to mean. Going out on a limb, it almost sounds like someone who is the victim of the first persons racism turning around being racist toward them right back. I don't know. Racism is racism. 'Reverse Racism' is a convoluted term that has a number of assumptions and inconsistencies, plus a condescending undertone to boot.
