It would really depend. I would not mind, "mom" at some point if she did not have a mother and she and I were close. But I think my first name is probably best.

Probably "Mr.", or maybe Dan...depending on how well we bond. Sons and daughters in law call their mother/father in laws "Mom" or "Dad" is corny IMO.

Dan, you are right, it is usually pretty corny. But there are times when there is a youngster who seeks parental units, so maybe they are likely to use the "mom" and "dad" monikers.
