I still do the CD thing. Almost all come from Amazon, with the occasional Best Buy purchase.

Amazon is typically cheaper for the average MP3 so I go there more than iTunes. I get my physical CDs from a number of places; whoever has the best deal.

I'm old fashion, I still look for record stores when there's a CD that I know I want (which isn't often.) Sometimes I buy MP3 downloads from iTunes or Amazon, but that's such a anti-climactic experience. I only do it because CD singles don't exist anymore. I miss the days of music retail and the record store chains. Sadly they are going the way of the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

I used to get CDs from my local Borders, but then they went and eliminated their CD department, so now I just go to Amazon for them.

MP3 single downloads I get from iTunes, whole cds (would never buy a cd in mp3 form) from Target or Walmart.

I buy CDs either from Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, or Wal-Mart, though I rarely shop for music from the latter because their selection stinks.

It hurts my heart that Sam Goody/Music Land shut down. I used to love shopping there as a kid.
