Well - when you look at who Shane's parents are, it's no wonder that he's the way he is. Rex is nothing but an over-grown teenager who's a total wuss and Gigi? This is the woman who chose a stranger over her own child and willingly helped a felon keep a child from his father.

They could have found a taller kid to harass him. Much as I don't like Shane, when that dwarf said "make me," he should have rung his neck. This was before Jack showed up. All that other kid had was the girl and it wasn't as if she would have done anything.
Remember when Shane doused Adriana with the pop bottle and threatened to kill her for punching Gigi? What happened to that kid. They watered down Shane's character to make this s/l happen.
