IA with Tony. Very good movie; one that I can identify with, being biracial myself. I wish they would air the 1934 original, I have yet to see that one.

I think the original was better. Claudette Colbert starts a pancake shop on a boardwalk in that one. Having Lana Turner be an actress in the remake probably updated it for the time, but I seemed to like the older one better. I remember in that one sarah was in an all white classroom and her mother brought her lunch and that is when everyone in school found out she was black. Was that scene in the remake?
