I think you should keep both so people can pick, but I like this one better as a default ": + P" smiley. And Tony, I do not choose that big tongue one, it's just what is picked when I type the colon p combination. I think Chris should keep it, cause it IS sometimes appropriate. The smaller ones are cute. Glad you'll be adding them. The big one is a bit obnoxious but most don't really use it.
