This is for you Tony. Didn't wanna post this in the disco thread, because I wanted this topic to focus more on *her* and honestly the sound of these songs sound post-disco. I recently discovered these songs.

Thelma has been around since the late 60's I believe. I like these songs, especially the first one, it has a very easy smooth beat. The last song could hold up on the charts today it dosen't sound very 80's to me. Great songs Chris, too bad some really good songs just get buried and never get any recognition. The only songs I know by Thelma of course are her Disco years, Don't leave me this way, I'm Here Again, (which has a flavor of DLMTW in its vocals and tracks) and a couple of others I can't think of the names off the top of my head. She also had a nice Ballad out during the Disco years that was pretty good, I discovered it on one of her albums and looked it up and it was a chart single during the 80's.

I agree. The last one was my favorite too. The song sounds reminiscent to Evelyn "Champagne" King's "Love Come Down."

Evelyn King another one of my favorites. Love Come Down is my favorite song by her!
