Where do you keep your wallet?

When you go out and you take your wallet with you, where do you keep it?


I've always kept mine in my right front pocket. Apparently it's common though for people, especially men to keep them in their back pockets but I've read that that is responsible for a lot of back problems so I wouldn't do that, and it seems to me that'd be an easier place for a skilled thief to get it from. That's why I got one on a chain, nobody's getting mine without me knowing. But how about everyone else?

I usually keep it in my coat, but if I'm not wearing one, then my front pocket. I never understood how people could be comfortable keeping in their back pocket. Not only does it seem more susceptible to being stolen that way, but I would think it would make sitting down just a little bit more uncomfortable.

On the show Homicide: Life on the Street, Tim Bayliss went through several episodes with a back that was killing him, and his partner noticed he wore his wallet in the back pocket and said that was the reason why his back was hurting because it threw his even build off balance when he sat down.

I keep it in either my purse or coat pocket, but usually in my purse. Never in my pants, because it's too thick and wouldn't fit.

Purse....if I'm not wearing a wristlet.

Front driver's side. We had a similar thread on this a while back. My wallet is designed to keep in the front pocket. It has a curved side similar to many pockets.

I only have a wallet but too big to put in pockets. No purse though. I just carry it around with me. Although, I have a tendancy to leave it in the grocery cart a lot. Around once a month! Luckily, it has never been stolen. My life is it. Military ID for me and my kids, SS cards, DL, credit cards.

^^ Sorry but you're asking for trouble. You are putting yourself at serious risk for identity theft. They don't even have to steal your wallet. Just write down your numbers. You won't think anything's wrong until you start getting bills on accounts you didn't open. Or worse, warrants for "your" arrest. Happens all the time.

When I am wearing a coat or jacket I keep it in there otherwise it goes in my back pocket. If I am wearing cargo then I keep it in the leg pocket. I don't carry it with me to work at all, no need for it.

Back pocket with a chain. If by chance I'm that out of it to be able to notice someone actually pulling something from my pocket, the chain will more than let me know.
