Digest spoke to OLTL's Robin Strasser
(Dorian) today and here's what she had to say: "I've only been on
Twitter for 32 hours and I'm nearing 3,000 followers so the service is
now properly scared of what will happen! I was forced to make myself
learn how to use Twitter. I just had blood in my eyes.... When Brian Frons makes this size decision, he shoots down thousands of New York City jobs.... If I were thanking anyone, I'd be sure to put Frank Valentini
[Executive Producer] up there because he saved money, brought us in
under budget and raised the standards of our production. If you're gonna
thank anyone, I would be thanking Frank Valentini. That is who deserves
the credit. [Brian Frons] is bullying hundreds of employees and he's
destroying the lives and livelihood of families. Additionally, by
dissing and disrespecting the audiences that love us, he puts himself in
peril. I know the people who care about the audience. I know about
people whose integrity is unquestioned — Erika Slezak [Viki] is
chief among them and Frank Valentini.... You cannot proudly present a
new endeavor when you have spit on the audience. You cannot. They will
bite you back, and don't you love it about them?"

She's right. This is like when ABC abruptly cancelled Three's Company for the sake of replacing it with Three's a Crowd; without giving much advance warning to the cast. The former was a monster hit, while the spinoff tanked almost immediately. They built their house on sand. And the same thing with happen with The Chew and The Revolution (I can't get over these silly titles.) They are going to fail. Drons is not going to court a new audience for them, and in the meantime disgruntle soap fans (like me) are going to snub them. Having fun losing your shirt Frons. He'll be out of a job along with the cast and crews of these shows he just yanked.

I hope so Chris, this idiot evidently does not care about what he has done to the fans as well as the working people on the soaps.

ITA with what Robin said. I hope this costs Frons dearly. Let him see what happens when he messes with a large, vocal crowd.

Fans are planning a protest rally here in NY at ABC studios on April 26.

I hope the protests go well and that Frons ends up loosing his job!!!!!!
