Man I had 20 viruses on my PC at work. The tekkie came by and fixed it and I lost all my bookmarks in firefox and IE8. Now all my settings are screwed up and everything looks weird

Tony, that does suck. On the bright side, it was at work and you didn't have to pay to have it fixed.

Sorry you had that happen. I hate when things have been reset and it all looks different. But, like Alan said, it was at work and not home.

So the the Techie say you have to quit clicking on "Hot Boy Butts" where all those viruses are comin' from?

I googled a site for "Smallville, the tv series" and I found a site, clicked on it and thats when it happened. It really sucks that you can't even go to seemingly regular websites without fear of viruses.

PC's are sensitive when it comes to websites and viruses. I hear these problems don't happen much with Mac's.

I suppose thats because most viruses are written to attack PC's and not mac's.

im sorry tony, that happened to me months back..
i was downloading from pirate bay, and caught a virus.. everytime i went to open a program, it would make thick clink noise and say this file is infected, it even did it when i tried opening my avg. i was scared... luckily for me my co worker is VERY good with computers, so he fixed it. i lost my microsoft office. one thing i asked him was to please save my music, i dont care bout anything else. an he did, i was happy, and happy with him.. i guess what he did was take my laptop back to its original state, so when i got it back everything was like brand new.

That sux about the bookmarks but glad ur system is virus free so you can still come online and post with us! Was your history cleared? If it wasnt then you can probably get most of ur bookmarks back.

That sux about the bookmarks but glad ur system is virus free so you can still come online and post with us! Was your history cleared? If it wasnt then you can probably get most of ur bookmarks back.
