That is my son's favorite. I hated it when he was younger because it made quite the blue mess of him. My step daughter also loved that the best as a kid.

What does it taste like? I don't know if that color is even found in nature.

Is it better than Blue Bell? I don't think many ice cream brands can be better than Blue Bell. Or Coldstone.

I think it tastes like fruity cereal. I haven't had it in a long time. A lot of places put bubble gum in it around here.

My badd....I keep forgetting that some things are local. I find it hard to believe that this flavor is exclusive to Mich, but the manufacture of the bowl I ate was from a local store.
RB is right, it does sort of taste like bubble gum and is very blue.

It isn't exclusive to MI, as I don't live in MI, and we have it. Maybe just a Midwest thing?

Blue Moon is an ice cream flavor with bright blue coloring available almost exclusively in the Upper Midwest of the United States. The Chicago Tribune has described the ice cream as "Smurf-blue, marshmallow-sweet, and tasting remarkably like Froot Loops and Fruity Pebbles". Blue Moon ice cream is one of the flavours which make up Superman ice cream.Blue Moon is found mainly in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin; found less frequently in Indiana, Iowa, Illinois and Ohio; and has reportedly been available (either in the past or currently) in Missouri, western Pennsylvania (Jamestown Hunger Buster), upstate New York (Moxie's in Wynantskill), Houston, Texas (Oscar's Creamery), Nebraska (Plattsmouth to be exact), and as far west as Wyoming and Arizona (Monster's Gelato in Phoenix), Seattle, Washington (Full Tilt Ice Cream) and Battle Ground, Washington, (Frozen Alchemy). It's also found in California (Rick's Ice Cream in Palo Alto), and in Colorado (Magill's Ice Cream in Lakewood). As far south as Bradenton / Cortez, Florida at Tyler's Ice-Cream. A possibly similar, possibly identical flavor has also been sold in Italy under the name "Puffo", which is Italian for "Smurf".
