    Assume you got a brochure inviting you to join a certain club. The clubs'
    activities and general makeup would be appealing to you, but people not of
    the "type" (doesn't allow women, blacks/hispanics, gays, non-christians, overweight people) cannot join.

    Would you join this club, even if these restrictions aren't something you agree with?

    I have only belonged to one club in my adult life, the South Florida Free Beaches, a nudist club. It was all inclusive and I even checked to make sure that single gender households got the same membership benefits of married couples. No one ever tried to be a member and keep their clothes on at any parties they attended, so IDK if we would have discriminated against non-nudists. Blue Cool

    So, the answer is no, I would not belong to an exclusionary club.

    Outside of perhaps a gay-male club that did not allow women. big grin

    I'd join a club like that just to shit start with them about their policies. They'd probably kick me out after that.

    I wouldn't join any club that had restrictions I did not agree with. But I could see myself joining a club that did not allow males, if the club's agenda fit that. In fact, I have been part of women's networking groups. That is pretty much like a club, I guess.

    Yeah - I could see myself joining something like that - or a woman's book club or fitness club - something like that. Also, if the restrictions had to do with paying and non-paying people - like say a gym, where members who didn't pay weren't allowed that would be different. I'd be okay joining something like that.
