no, cuz instead of watching whats going on, i end up looking at the bottom of the screen and reading.

I don't keep it on all the time, but I confess. If a DVD has lousy sound, or the actors are mumbling, I do put them on, temporarily, as long as I feel I could use the help.
I have good hearing but some shows and movies, the sound is terrible.

I only use it when I want to get clarification on what they just said....other than that, no. But my TV automatically shows it when it's on mute.

I used to watch it on my old t.v. but I really don't bother with it now.
