I NEVER wanted these things put in as a kid, I would fight constantly, and I don't know anybody who could just pop their eyes open and squeeze the bottle, I have to put the drops on my eyelashes and open my eyes up and let the drops sink in. They may work eventually but initially they are as bad if not worse than the original irritation.

Does anybody else hate using eyedrops?

I don't use them often, but if I have to...I will. They are a godsend for clearing red eyes.

I haven't had to use them since I stopped wearing contacts. They were no big deal. Some eye exams I've had, they dialated my pupils via drops. They weren't what I'd call pleasant but

I don't use them, they kind of gross me out.
In college, when I bar tended, there was this crazy needy guy who came in and would beg for anyone to do it for him. I was always too nice and did. And I can still recall how gross it was to water Peter's eyes.

The one that really grosses me out is when a dog needs 'eyedrops' because it's not drops, it's an ointment you have to put in their eyes.

May have to try that one. My main problem is dryness. Visine works great for me, but I have to put them in a lot when I'm having problems.

Visine is a godsend for me. The 10 seconds of irritation is worth not walking around looking like you popped a blood vessel.
