What is your opinion of boarding schools and the parents who send their kids to them?

You can say higher education all you want, I say only parents who don't want their kids around would ship them off to have teachers raise them for what, 9-10 months out of the year?

It depends. I think that there often times is an element of abandonment when it comes to boarding schools; we've all seen examples of the lonely rich kid whose frigid parents forsook him or her to school abroad. But in some cases, I do think parents actually feel that they are giving their kids a 'better' education by sending them to study away from home.
