My grandfather told me, "If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, its yours forever. If it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it."

Costello once told Abbott, "You shouldn't marry a pretty woman."

"Why?"

"She could run off and leave you."

"So? A plain woman could run off too."

"Yeah, but who cares?"

I don't recall any great love advice, just on the job training. I read the Playboy Advisor when I was a young man, maybe picked up some stuff there.

But mostly it is what lovers have taught me along the way.
