Do you believe in the divinity of the Bible, as the "word of God?" Or do you see it as merely a book of opinions and propaganda from the men who penned in all those centuries ago?
I see it as the latter.
I see it as the latter.
Well I'm quite familiar with the bible at this point in my life and if indeed it was merely a book of opinions and propaganda, then it is very poorly written indeed as it would seem to have the opposite of the intended effect on people. The messages about love, peace, and tolorance don't do much in the way of propaganda for evil men. As far as salvation goes, that could only be used as propaganda if you were a "selling" Jesus in order to make your church powerful and establish a political following. Many people do this of course (the Roman Catholic Church being the largest example), but that also depends on relying on the ignorance of the laymen. Anyone who actually reads and understands the messages in the bible would immediately recognize that corruption and reject it.Marc wrote:Do you believe in the divinity of the Bible, as the "word of God?"
