Nothing. I don't wake up because I want something to drink. I wake up because I had something to drink.

Not beside it but I keep a glass or two or three of water on my dresser. I've taken to keeping a gallon of water on the floor so I don't have to go down in the night and wake up anyone.

If you have a drink by your bed for hours, regardless if you put ice in it, the ice melts and the drink gets warm. And that pretty much defeats the purposed of having a drink on your nightstand if you have to get up and go put ice in it.

Me, I need a drink before I go to bed, and another when I get up in the morning, and I prefer to do all of that without going downstairs and getting everybody up.|
