Just the title throws me, but it's top ten on the dance music charts and has two million views on YouTube. So hey, what do I know? lol

I like some of the late eighties/early nineties Shep Pettibone/Black Box/C+C Music Factory style house music. There was this moment when hip hop and house cross pollinated to form a cool hybrid. I think 1991, Club MTV/The Party Machine with Nia Peebles, was the pinnacle of this era. It was upbeat, colorful and fun. I think the genre sort of lost it's way in the latter half of the nineties. I think what happened is that mainstream American music makers started to abandon it after around 1992, and from there it largely became a European supported music genre that the US mainstream ignored until a few years ago.
