    Capitalism is an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market.

    What's your opinion of it?

    Has its plus and minuses, but Does more harm than good in the long run. It breeds greed and that will always be an ugly stain.

    It's a more workable system than anything else we got to choose from. It's got minuses but those minuses can be checked, and sometimes are checked by capitalism itself. The alternatives are no-win crapshoots so yeah, capitalism/free market principles always will win out over those. And the idea that capitalism breeds greed seems silly when the very idea of rejecting capitalism also seems based on greed too when you get down to it.

    I agree. It is only beneficial in minor spurts and needs to be supressed overall.
