Since high school students (and debaters) often study politics and current events, and are possibility as informed as many adults on the subject, how would you feel about these kids being able to vote in elections with a teachers endorsement? Good idea, or no?

Since the vast majority of our underage citizens are not debaters or study political science - NO. I said it before though, the 18-25 demographic should start voting as a block for their best interest like the AARP crowd.

I couldn't vote at 18 - had to wait 'til I was over 21 - and still voted for Nixon in 68 because I only knew his name in the election. Kids do stupid shit like that.

I was too young to vote for the mother fucker but I had to take his side in a H.S. history class election project. That was adding insult to injury after I had to take the pro side of a 7th grade debate on if we should be in Viet Nam.

We've all had to take "positions" we disagreed with for a teacher.Alan Smithee wrote:I was too young to vote for the mother fucker but I had to take his side in a H.S. history class election project.
