At the moment, certain health insurance companies don't cover contraceptives; yet a large percentage of those companies do cover the ED drugs. Congress is deciding on a bill that would effectively stop insurance companies from only covering one or the other but at the moment only twenty-four of the fifty states are required to cover prescription contraceptives if they cover prescription drugs. Should all health insurance companies cover birth control if they decide to cover ED?

I say contraception should never be covered by insurance companies. But if it makes you feel better, we can drop the ED pills from being covered to make the pill poppers happy.

I absolutely think that birth control should be covered by healthcare. Being that its prescribed by your gynecologist, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't count as medical.
