The random vending machine game

Okay, here's a new one…
This thread is a theoretical vending machine where one poster insert an item and the next person decides what you get back.

For example:

Poster one inserts a quarter; poster two tells them they get back a wooden nickle.
Then poster two inserts something, and the next poster gives them something else.

So on, and so forth.

You can insert anything into this machine, doesn't have to be money.
