Any members wear glasses with progressive lenses? I've decided to give them a try to stop the need to take my glasses off to read.

Re: If you wear glasses
My last two pairs were progressives, and I hate them. I've started removing them to read. Oddly enough, with these particular glasses I have not been able to "see" worth a damn. It's as if the prescriptions are wrong. But they've insisted no (and they came from different vision offices).
Most of the time I wear my contacts, anyway.
Here's wishing you better luck with them than I've had.

I wear glasses and I don't have progressive lens. Whatever. I like my glasses so I'll keep wearing them.

Re: If you wear glasses
They're multi-focal. In my case, being near sighted, the top of the lens will have the strongest prescription for distance with the strength lessening towards the bottom. A number of years ago I had to start taking my glasses off to read or see things up close and I'm just tired of it. Bluesmama, my wife had them and hated them too but I know people who love them. The optician in the ophthalmologist's office will replace them with single vision lenses at no additional cost if I really hate them but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They should be ready by next week.

Re: If you wear glasses
Good luck to you! I’ve been wearing progressive glasses for about 10 years and my first pair of progressives gave me a headache for 2 weeks. My optometrist confirmed the Rx on the lenses was correct and advised me to try for some more weeks. Luckily, I finally got used to them. Recently, I just got a new pair from online glasses retailer (Zenni Optical) instead of my optometrist office since several hundred $$$ was beyond my budget.
