There are a few...one being the alleged shooting of Billy the Kid by sheriff Pat Garrett. In recent years evidence has come to light that suggests Billy actually lived to be 90 years old and married and lived a normal life, leaving the question then of WHO did Garrett shoot, and then have so quickly buried before anybody could get a good look at him?

Re: What Crime . . .
As many murder books I've read I'm still going to go along with the Manson murders for a variety of reasons. And the big shock of it was the time it all happened.
It was '69, at the tail-end of the Love Generation, and here's this commune of rambling hippies setting up compounds to do nothing but sex and drugs, to end up in a grotesque contrast of commiting such grisly murders. And to look at the "leader", this mousey-looking little bastard who managed to find a group of some of society's losers along with some highly educated but stupid kids to feed a bunch of shit to. I still cringe when I think of how Sharon Tate died.
Susan Atkins went to high school with a cousin of mine, who told me that she was 'weird' even then. Susan was also at the women's prison in Chowchilla, Calif, the same time that my niece was, although my niece never saw her (different wing).
So, naturally, I still have fascination for this one.

I wouldn't say fascinated but Jack the Ripper would be one.

Oh yes, Jack the Ripper, I've always been curious about that one, and also the Borden murders, and also Jonestown, because like Helter Skelter I keep thinking 'how the FCK did this happen?'
